As Rutgers punches bowl bid, Greg Schiano earns bonus: Here’s how much

When Rutgers punched its ticket to the postseason this weekend, head coach Greg Schiano unlocked a major incentive in his contract.
The Scarlet Knights (6-4, 3-4) became bowl eligible for the second consecutive season on Saturday with a 31-17 win over Maryland in College Park. In doing so, Schiano earned a $100,000 bonus for leading Rutgers to a non-College Football Playoff bowl appearance, according to a memorandum of agreement he signed last December.
